Vivianne Kong
Vivianne is a warm and attentive registered clinical psychologist who is committed to creating a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, understood, and supported. She believes that seeking psychological support is a meaningful step towards better understanding oneself, navigating life’s challenges, and creating meaningful change.
Vivianne completed her Master of Clinical Psychology with Distinction and has gained clinical experience across hospitals, community mental health settings, NGOs, educational settings, and private practice. She provides psychological therapy and assessment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, supporting individuals experiencing a range of emotional, psychological, developmental, and interpersonal concerns.
With over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents in educational and behavioral support settings, Vivianne brings a strong understanding of developmental needs, behavior, and family dynamics into her clinical practice. She has particular experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental and developmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Vivianne draws on evidence-based approaches while adapting therapy to each individual experiences, needs, values, and goals. Vivianne recognizes that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process and works alongside her clients to develop practical strategies that support emotional wellbeing, self-understanding, and meaningful, lasting change. She believes that therapy is not simply about addressing difficulties, but also about developing a deeper understanding of oneself, recognizing personal strengths, and building the skills and confidence needed to navigate life more effectively. She strives to meet each individual where they are, working at a pace that feels appropriate while providing a space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences without judgement.
Beyond clinical practice, Vivianne is passionate about mental health advocacy, psychoeducation, and community outreach. She has been involved in mental health talks, workshops, screenings, and awareness programmes, and currently contributes to psychology education as a Psychology Lecturer and Course Leader.
